An Israeli minister who was suspended for saying a nuclear bomb was “a possibility” for Israel to use in Gaza, also said Palestinians in the territory “can go to Ireland or deserts”.

Far-right heritage minister Amichai Eliyahu supports his country retaking the Gaza Strip and restoring settlements there. Asked on local radio about the fate of the Palestinian population there, he was reported by the Times of Israel as saying: “They can go to Ireland or deserts, the monsters in Gaza should find a solution by themselves.”
